The decor and convivial vibe remain unchanged at this ever-popular Barnes stalwart. An eclectic array of modern art still adorns the white walls; the low-lit back room is more soothing than the brighter front area; well-mannered staff continue to attend assiduously to the wealthy clientele. The cooking is now more straightforward, though; oysters and a half pint of prawns were among the starters, and steak tartare was offered as both a first course and main are commended too.
