The refinement of this classy little pâtisserie suits its genteel Dulwich Village location to a tee. While partaking of a silver pot of the unusual infusions (Golden Flowers, Royal Plum, White Tangerine or Dragon Eye Oolong) and gorging on a moist slab of Belgo cake (truffle base, whipped cream and thick chocolate icing), your eyes will feast on the vast array of be-ribboned bonbons, beautifully packaged teas and gilded biscuit boxes stacked on the shelves, or the handmade chocolates adorning the counter. Stick to the cakes, breads or divine Di Sotto's ice-creams, however. A leaden slab of quiche arrived microwaved and unadorned by even the teeniest salad garnish.
