Tex-Mex food with a touch of sophistication is what this compact little place aims to offer – along with a strong emphasis on Margaritas. Best to avoid these if you want to stay within budget: a half-jug costs a whopping £17.95. Instead, order house wine and try the ‘street tacos': big platters of half a dozen tacos, each with a different filling ranging from smoky prawn to spicy chicken to rich shredded pork, served with a large bowl of refried beans. Another option, the tostadas, resemble flat tacos: crispy corn tortillas piled high with beans, grilled chicken or beef, salad and sour cream. There are also sizzling fajitas (always reliable) which, for many people, will be big enough to share.
