Seeking the Moroccan party experience on a budget? Souk Medina may be for you. It attracts large groups of twentysomethings into its warren of cave-like rooms with an all-inclusive party menu. Consequently, it’s often a bit cramped and noisy at weekends: not great for a relaxed tête-à-tête. The staff always seem rushed off their feet, so service, while friendly, can be chaotic. That said, we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of cooking on our most recent visit. To start, rich zaalouk was a superior choice to the rather bland chicken briouats. Next, lamb couscous was spot-on: tender meat, a lightly spiced tasty broth with vegetables cooked just right, and harissa brought on request for added heat. Lamb tagine with peas was fine, our one complaint (as ever) being the unsuitability of pitta bread to soak up the juices. Why don’t more Moroccan restaurants serve good bread? The wine list includes some decent Moroccan choices like Siroua rosé and spicy red Siroua Carignan. Drink too much, though, and you’ll be shaking your stuff with the glam belly dancer and all those women on hen nights.

Ambitious, motivated, genuine and honest guy. I live life to the full - often trying to squeeze in more when there just isn't room! I rarely sit...
I went to this restaurant on Saturday and was entertained by the lovely Norsheen. Who is extremely talented and equally beautiful.
I can assure you that there was no transvestite in sight.
The restaurant had brilliant service and lovely waitresses and the food was exquisite. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone that would like to experience a different atmosphere.
DO NOT GO HERE! This restaurant is all style and no substance - it looks lavish and authentically Moroccan but the food is some of the worst, overpriced rubbish I've ever had - and it's not that cheap. We went for a friend's birthday and although we had a nice little alcove to ourselves the waitress was curt and spilt food on us as she collected our plates. The food itself was bland and not that reasonable for what it was. I had the 'chicken from the grill on a bed of salad' which consisted of a burnt, small chicken breast on a few leaves of iceberg...for almost £10. Everyone else in our party of ten didn't rate their dishes either.
