Ever since it opened in the unpromising surroundings of the Walworth Road in 2006, this smart restaurant has been wowing the critics and delighting its customers. The menu includes Anglo-Canto stalwarts like lemon chicken, but also a thrilling range of more authentic dishes, deftly cooked. Shortly after the Chinese New Year we ordered a seasonal special with an auspicious Chinese name (rendered in English as ‘the whole world is your oyster’) – a delicious braise of dried oysters and silky hair moss. From the main menu, the ribbony jellyfish with cucumber was crisp and refreshing, and the green mussels with Thai basil, garlic and chilli turned out to be a piquant oriental version of moules marinière. We also enjoyed a skilful stir-fry of roast duck, fresh lily bulb and celery, and a clay pot of silken beancurd with chicken and salt-fish. Service on our visit wasn’t as consistently good as the cooking, and the salubriousness of the dining room was let down somewhat by the stacks of unused chairs near the entrance. Don’t let the location put you off, though – this is one of the most enjoyable Cantonese restaurants in London.

I'm a decent sort with a sense of humour and a fair education, like watching Sport and Travelling, but equally happy sitting down with a good book...
The food we ordered was delicious, being chinese I thought this was the best place for authentic cantonese cooking that we've been to in London. I would recommend the snapper with corianda and soysauce which is very resonably priced. Must go again, great for functions even though the location is abit grim but once inside the food and service makes up for it!
What a revelation! After China Town, here is another stunningly good Chinese. Superb food and ambience, very attentive service. One of the top 5 Chinese restaurants in London without a doubt. The freshest ingredients of the highest quality, food lovingly made and presented. Many layers of taste, lost of spice and wonderfully explosive flavours. The most delicate dimsums in London. Excellent in every respect
The Restaurant was great, we went for a birthday meal with the children.
The portions were huge
The food here is fantastic, they have some very interesting and authentic dishes. It makes a nice change from the formulaic menus in other chinese restaurants. In particular the dim sum menu is excellent and very fairly priced.
