For a colourful night out, try this pitch black restaurant where customers are served and guided around the room by blind staff – and no one is allowed to move around the room without the assistance of their guide. Guests order their food in the lit bar 20 minutes before dining, choosing from four ‘surprise’ menus. Expect Modern European fare; menus are regularly updated for variety and include vegetarian and meat- and seafood-free options. A ‘dark bar’ is open for wine, cocktails and tapas on a Friday (5.30-6.30pm) and for networking evenings on Mondays. There is also the opportunity to cook your own three-course menu under the guidance of the head chef and then invite a group of friends to enjoy your culinary creations in the dark.

The experience was unique and the comfort of being in the company of someone (our waiter) who could look after us if we needed it was special. The long tables unfortunately mean that there are many voices surrounding your own conversation with your friends/loved ones. Final note is that I felt the dinner went by quickly even though it was 3 course meal. However, the total rate stands at a perfect 10.
