Time Out has teamed up with tastelondon to offer you a fantastic one month free trial
A home-from-home for Japanese expats and a popular lunch spot for west Soho office staff, this friendly spot has an almost-permanent queue of folk ordering a takeaway or waiting to pay. Herby salmon gyoza come juicy, plump and well-browned from the pan; order them in a set meal with stir-fried veg, white miso soup and a bowl of rice. Ramen, naturally, are also a favourite; try the negi (spring onion) ramen with chicken.

I love this place. It's like my own little back alley secret. This is definitely casual dining. Sure it may not look like much, but it more than makes up for that in price and portion size. Noodle soups come in gargantaun bowls making Wagamama look stingy and expensive. Make sure you ask for the noodles a little firmer (as is traditional) The sushi is of a average-to-good standard, but is incredibly cheap. Service is friendly and you will always be pleased with the bill... My only draw back is that they had an atomic kitten CD on repeat when I went!
Not a very homely "home-from-home for Japanese expats" given that the staff are Chinese and do not speak Japanese.
