  • Fantastic restaurant, Head Chef Roger knows his cuisine and mixes up eastern spices and flavours with the boldness of western dishes. Would recommend if you're near the area.

  • My experience here was good. Food was good, and better than you would expect for a restaurant of this price range. Staff are friendly. With so many poor restaurants around these days, this was a good surprise. Worth a visit if you are local.

  • Ooooo not a good experience from a service point of view. I've been there for a dinner a few times and that has been fine but a recent brunch date had us waiting 20 minutes for cold tea (we could see it abandoned on the bar but they still served it!) and an hour for a brunch that never came as the order had also been forgotten.Might have been an off day for St James' but the offer of more cold tea in compensation left me cold so we left hungry and we won't be going back for brunch any time soon.

  • This is a strong contender for worst restaurant in North London. I've just been charged £70 for corked wine, stale bread, undressed salad, cold chips, no soap in toilets... you could forgive any one of these things, but cumulatively they add up to a really depressing waste of money and time. The reality gap between the pretension of the menu and its execution is really sad. You may as well set fire to your money than spend it here - at least you'd get a moment's warmth and satisfaction.

  • From outside looks welcoming, nice, classy. Veyr dissapointed in food. Service was very friendly, but not attentive enough. Had to ask for napkins. my soup of the day didnt come with bread and when asked for bread, was brought a burnt piece of bruchetta. For out driks - a glass of coke and a coctails had to wait for another 15 min... The main course took the longest. I dont know if they went somewhere to get my piece of meat to butchers, but it took a good hour to get our main. Very dissapointing, A big chunk of pork, a little warm...didnt look nice either. My partner order fish which was cold and a pesto mash which was tasteless. Overall, very overpriced, not delicious and takes ages to get your food or drinks (?!).

  • This is our favourite restaurant near where we live.... the food is very good, the waiting staff are so friendly and nice and the atmosphere is superb as well..... What I love about this restaurant is that you can go in there for a nice breakfast, a really nice lunch, a great snack or a fancy dinner in the evening..... it is great. This is the restaurant we take any guests of ours that are staying when they come for weekends in london..... Burger is delish for lunch and the welsh lamb is amazing..... my girlfriend has had the salmon and that is also delish and the presentation is fantastic as well... Keep up the good work St James!!!
