The Sun stands out from its many Soho rivals by virtue of its enthusiasm for music and its surprising Thai food. The 13 cantons of its name refers to the area’s Swiss heritage of the late 1800s, although the decorative focus these days is on post-war pop culture.
Stylish photographs of Raw Power-era Iggy, Bonds-era Clash, Cash and Dylan tower over taps of Litovel, San Miguel and Peroni. As there’s a stylish dining room, wine hasn’t been overlooked.
An inexpensive selection of Thai food runs from curries in various colours to fragrant noodles and spicy soups. DJs provide the crowds of after-work drinkers with a soundtrack for their gossipy conversation.
