God DAMN, had the best meal ever at Blues Kitchen last night!!! Didn't have a reservation and it was really busy (on a wednesday) but the lovely girl on the door directed us to the bar and we were at a table within 10 mins. Not bad at all, I would definitely reserve if I was going on a weekend though.
Staff were never too far away, all very friendly and accommodating. Our waitress recommended the buffalo wings as a starter- still thinking about them now. The tangy sauce built up a nice little kick, which was complemented perfectly by the thick blue cheese sauce, full of chunky real blue cheese bits.
They also said the BBQ was their speciality- there were 4 of us, so we went for the Deluxe BBQ platter for "2 people", could have easily fed all of us!! We ended up taking a lot of it home with us, it was all tender and juicy, and their BBQ sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Another highlight was the burger special, The Elvis Presley, which was a burger with peanut butter candied bacon & chilli jam, so so good, and the amazing Old Fashioned cocktails!
Then the band started playing and we somehow managed to dance our asses off to really good soul and blues tunes for the rest of the night. Really can't wait to bring all my friends.
