A recently refurbished bar and dining room on the King's Road. The Victorian building has been given an attractive new lick of paint, with the bar area - accommodating drinkers and diners throughout the day - a separate entity to the 50-cover restaurant next door. There's a spacious garden outside, too.

The bar offers cocktails, continental lagers a varied wine list and craft beers - including the venue's own brew, Imperial Ale. Food can be ordered from the kitchen but there's a deli, too, with salads, sandwiches and snacks to take away.

The restaurant menu ranges from steamed mussels, seared scallops and steak burgers in brioche buns to a loin of venison served with caramelised carrot, charred red onion, truffle creamed potato and a red wine jus. Sunday roasts prove popular, too.

The Imperial says
We are a newly refurbished restaurant, bar and private dining room on the King's Road in Chelsea. In a stunning Victorian building we boast high ceilings, an open plan kitchen and a lovely atmosphere.

We have a bar, restaurant and garden for you to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner seven days a week. Specialising in locally sourced and seasonal cuisine, our menu has influences from all over the world but with some old English favourites too.

If you are looking for a great space to enjoy breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner - and you are keen on healthy, beautifully presented food - then please come and try us. Paleo dishes catered for, too.

You could come several times a week for different reasons! We are suitable for corporate entertaining, romantic dinners or a family brunch/Sunday roast. You are welcome in the bar for after-work drinks and birthday parties. Our lovely garden is covered and heated, and equipped with a chimenea and cosy blankets so you can sit and enjoy some casual drinks or a meal.

We also have a good space to sit and work whilst taking a sandwich from our deli or trying our daily stew with our own sourdough, made in house.

Monthly jazz nights on the first Tuesday of each month, special wine dinners and the celebration of holidays like Thanksgiving!

It was our first time here and it was truly wonderful, I had been told it was a bit of a hidden gem and I wasn't disappointed, simply delicious food, great wine list and such a warm welcome - can't wait to be back when it gets a bit warmer to enjoy their lovely looking garden.

I dined at The Imperial on the evening of Tuesday 18th of February. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised with the mesmerising voice of their weekly Jazz performer named SJ, accompanied by two talented musician, one playing the keyboard and the other the accordion. The venue had a sophisticated and warm feel to it and it was certainly clear that the new owners had created a modern and chic environment for their guests to enjoy. I ordered from the specials menu after asking what my host recommended. I ordered a Roast shoulder of Lamb dish that had Chickpeas, Avocado, Chilli and many other interesting flavours that complimented the tender meat. With my Main, I enjoyed a nice glass of a white wine from New Zealand, which was again recommended to me by my host. Overall my dining experience was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I will certainly dine here again, with friends and family as it is reasonably priced and the food is exceptional and creative.

We were here last night, had a great time. Really good to have a new local with fantastic food. I had the pork belly which was great, but can't wait to try the other dishes on the menu that looked so good. The place has changed dramatically with the new refurbishment, its bright and has a really good atmosphere. I'd recommend this to anyone local, or anyone looking for a great meal without a great price tag.
