Another perfectly good neighbourhood bar converted into a dining pub, The King's Head - known as Grey Goose before its owners changed to Antic in 2011 - reverts happily to its former guise most nights of the week. Crowds at the bar down pints of Moretti, Amstel or Timothy Taylor Landlord or glasses of affordable house wine.
Food runs from mini bangers or lamb koftas through to seafood linguine or wild boar sausages with champ mash, best consumed on the wide front terrace – the bar interior is nondescript, but for an atrium near the back which comes into its own on sunny afternoons.
