This small Swiss chain updates the buffet concept with a modern feel. Essentially a pimped-up salad bar, it's vegetarian and vegan food all the way, with menus changing with the seasons. Every Tuesday dishes are exclusively vegan.
Staff explain the 'concept' as you enter – pile up a plate (or takeaway container) on the central buffet boat and pay by weight, minus a free bread roll. Dishes look good. Expect anything from Asian slaw and aubergine quiche to patatas bravas, Lebanese wild rice, beetroot houmous and a mushroom, potato and ale pie.
Breakfasts offer freshly pressed juices, homemade bircher muesli, croissants, patisserie and a solid selection of tea and coffee.
