  • Food was tasty but service was terrible, 5 girls "working" there, well 3 of them cooing over a baby and the other two giving each other shoulder massages, asked for a cold slice of quiche, all they needed to do was put it on a plate as it was already portioned, but that was too difficult for them to cope with. Reminded them 20 mins later and eventually someone brought over a warmed up (on the outside) slice, the middle was cold though, so at least they got that bit right lol Won't ever go back even though I pass it every day on my way to the station.

  • I used to live this place. Maybe they were having an off day last week when I popped in for lunch but ... Fritters that were crisp on the outside but uncooked thick floury batter within, a pickled cucumber salad that was saltier than the Dead Sea and another salad with enough strong raw onion to guarantee no kisses for a week. I did mention the salt issue when I was paying and was told they were steeped in vinegar. Erm vinegar's not the same as salt. Shrug. Ping. Charged full price. Questioned bill. Given 20p off! Incredible. Ps I love salt - chorizo, olives, soy, seaweed ... Yum.

  • A great example of a business changing with the times. It is disappointing that I cannot buy pasta and chutney anymore but still a treat to be greeted by smiling girls and the salads and soups are delicious. It is an unpretentious place that is welcoming and bright. A wonderful atmosphere that has become my second office. Looking forward to what the future holds for this lovely community cafe that genuinely cares for their customers. Best bacon butty in Balham!

  • Trinity Stores was a great outfit when it first opened but is rapidly going downhill and turning into a regular unremarkable cafe. The food is expensive without being anything special. The staff often seem to be on their first day on the job - not knowing the prices for anything or not knowing how to work the till. Today the music that is normally playing in the cafe was replaced by radio 1, marking the beginning of the end for what was once a great place to eat drink and shop.
