Tuttons is arguably one of the most famous and long standing restaurants in Covent Garden, situated on the east side of the historic piazza, overlooking the hustle and bustle of the markets.
Newly refurbished by lead interior designer Russell Sage, it offers a stunning new interior to compliment the enjoyable al fresco dining experience in fair weather, in what is undoubtedly one of London’s most unique areas.
Offering a classically English menu focusing on seasonal dishes from Great British suppliers, we offer traditional meals which showcase the variety and quality of the U.K’s food, from breakfast through to the evening a la carte menu.
Tuttons also offers a fantastic place to relax with a coffee or just enjoy a quick bar snack and cocktail before heading out to enjoy all that Covent Garden has to offer, and if you’re planning a party or more formal occasion, our private vaults, created from the old cellars offer a romantic and imaginative area to host in.

With a tastecard (50% off) this place is a great shout for pre theatre dinner. The lamb was delicious, purple potatoes a bit odd but tasty, and the steak tasty but a bit overdone. Didn't have time for dessert but they looked good. Service was good, the booth seating a nice option and outdoor space for if it ever stops raining!

Tuttons is not cheap, the hamburger is £18 and the steaks in the high twenties.

As starters, the chicken liver pate was indulgent, the scallops had great texture and the oysters were very good. The hamburger was nice. The corned beef hash was light on the corned beef. The chips were delicious, not healthy (cooked in real fat, I'd guess) but who orders chips to be healthy?

We also had desserts and these were good, the raspberry cheesecake was unlike any cheesecake I've ever had but was great nonetheless.

Its position on the corner of Russell Street and Covent Garden Piazza could not be better, it is straight across from the Royal Opera House and close to many theatres.

The décor is classic, it has a pleasant atmosphere in which to eat. It even has seats outside for those hardy enough to brave the weather and the crowds!

The service was fine. The wine list had lots of choice, even by the glass.

I recommend it, especially if you have a tastecard, which gives 50% off food and makes it good value.

Despite that both the restaurant and bar were full on ground floor, underneath the roaring Friday night seating, my party and I were well looked after by the polite and friendly waiter. Always eager to fill up our glasses as we tucked into our hearty three course dinner. The private dining experience is the perfect setting to hold a party for you and your close ones.
