This may be a tiny, family-run affair, but the attention is in the details - such as the utilitarian blond wood benches and tables with hooks under the chairs to hold bags. Delicious Korean side dishes begin the meal; the kimchi was clearly own-made, and the spiced potato slices were a treat. Most people come for the warming chigae stew, and our soo doo boo version of soft tofu, oysters and an egg in zingy kimchi broth was just the thing for a chilly night. Barbecued short ribs and belly pork came in amazingly large portions. The place was only half full on our weekend visit, but the service was top-notch throughout, with a great deal of kindly Korean hospitality from the owner.
