LMNT wouldn't be out of place among Covent Garden's theatre-themed restaurants, thanks to its quirky decor rife with Egyptian and Roman imagery, tucked-away tables and soundtrack of operatic music. It certainly stands out in Dalston, though, and draws all sorts of curious diners.

The menu is more standard than the surroundings might suggest: Mediterranean-skewed dishes such as calamari or grilled halloumi with houmous. A dish of mussels in a cream and wine sauce was tasty enough and a chocolate tart with passionfruit sauce did the trick, though a pork steak with chorizo was overcooked.

But you definitely get a lot for your money at LMNT - and a fun experience too. Do pay a visit to the toilets: their erotic imagery, in both the men's and women's, gives the murals in Pompeii a run for their money.

Great atmosphere with a very unique decoration! The food is very well presented and delicious. As the other comments say, the waiters aren't the most friendly you could get, but all the other aspects are great. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Overall just a satisfactory night. The decor is on the eccentric side but the overall flat vibe of the restaurant gave the place a theme-diner-at-an-amusement-park feeling. I would hope we had the same waiter as the previous commenter as I would hate to think that all the staff at LMNT were as borderline rude. The two positive things I take from the night were that the food was lovely and the toilets were a real highlight(!)
