La Paella satisfies a huge swathe of local Hispanophiles with its typical Catalan interior and attention to culinary detail - from bread that's part-baked on the premises to a choice of own-made desserts. In between is a good range of tapas including albondigas (meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce) and octopus, though it's the eponymous paella that tends to grace most tables, packed with fresh ingredients and with a heart-warming Mediterranean richness that defies its suburban setting (you're best off calling ahead and ordering half an hour in advance). Add to this a family-friendly midweek vibe and a more raucous party atmosphere on the weekends - sometimes with live music - and it's not hard to see why the place continues to thrive.

Spanish? I think not! This was the worst food and service I have ever had. The manager needs a lesson in customer service!!! Do not waste your money and time on this cruddy little establishment. The food was less than average and cold, I would rather travel to other parts of north london to sample good food. Do not go here.!
Went last night - tapas was average with some ok dishes and some really let-downs. The service was truly awful, possibly the worst I've experienced in years (as someone who dines out frequently). Felt quite unwelcome. Would not recommend.
I took my teenage son here on Thursday night, explaining on the way how lovely tapas is, how he'd enjoy it etc - what a let down. Service was shoddy with no welcome or explanation of how the menu worked. The food was bland and room temperature. Customers/diners nearby were as bemused by the waiter as we were. We were in and out in 45 minutes. Never again. Just undermined Spanish food, the warmth of tradition service and left us feeling ripped off.
Worst one I ever went to. Very rude guy at the Counter and Sangria was not good.
Went to la paella today, with my class, teachers and spanish teacher. I had a fabulous day there, as the staff were very friendly. I loved the mouth-watering food that was served there and i would LOVE to go again with my family. I had un coca for a drink plus un flan for my desert. It was moi moi bein! :) GRACIAS.
Its embaressing to say this is an authentic spanish restaurant. Out of 4 starters, only 2 of them were ok. If you want patatas bravas- you'll be given small chips with spicy tomato sauce. After ordering a meat paella we got a seafood paella - they swapped over the rice to a new plate & fried some chicken which ended up being extremely dry & then not sure what happended to the rice but was very soggy & runny. Just not good enough.
Excellent food you won't find a better paella anywhere. Warm and friendly surroundings owners and staff very helpful and accommodating, a first class evening out, I cant recommend it enough.
