Megan's sits on a strip of the King's Road devoted to upmarket furniture stores, and dining in the glass-fronted restaurant of this former antiques shop still feels unsettlingly like making an appearance in a lifestyle catalogue. Open since 2002, it changed ownership in February 2010 and has extended its opening hours to serving dinner.

Oh dear, never again. We went on Sunday morning. It looked inviting from outside and was very busy, the signs were good. Our order, full English breakfast, boiled egg and toast, fruit salad, 1 tea and 1 carrot juice, not difficult. 20 minutes for drinks, 35 minues for "food". The boiled egg was not cooked and immediately sent back. The full English - the eggs were undercooked and tasted badly of vinegar, the sausage and bacon were luke warm, the few bits of mushroom were the size of peas, the tiny slice of tomato appeared to have been slowly cooking for several hours until black and withered away. The bread appeared to have seen a 30 watt low energy light bulb which was supposed to have been toast. 15 minutes later no replacement boiled egg, so time to call it a day. I understand they took the boiled egg off the bill, which came in at £19.63! At no time from anyone involved was there a hint of an apology. In future we will be sticking to our old favourites........:-(

I LOVE this place the atmosphere is fantastic and the food is wonderful. The concept keeps me coming back every week and telling friends about this place

...DISPITE the appalling service. Unlikely to offer service through their own initiative (a miracle which i have not yet seen) you usually will end up having to physically get up and demand service from the staff. It is unlikely you will see a drink within 20 minutes- if you do at all. I have had to ask three or four times, and waited 40 minutes for a coffee on numerous occasions. I was there today for two hours with someone else’s cold tea pot staring at me from my table- no one served me the duration of the time I was there. I had to get up myself for a drink.

Yet i still go back! A testament to the deli as a whole. But they wont last long if any competition emerges with half decent service i'm afraid.... Watch out for the cafe soon opening on the Lotts road Megans!!!

One of London’s hidden little treasures, Megan’s never fails to deliver a wonderful experience!
The quality of the food was very impressive at very reasonable prices. The staff were very helpful and explained every dish to me. In addition, the amazing garden at the back makes the ambience top notch. Every visit is just guaranteed to be an absolute treat – highly recommended!
