Located on the main thoroughfare that links Victoria to Pimlico, this large, airy establishment does brisk business among locals. Seafresh is certainly a restaurant rather than a mere chippy - tables are firm and widely spaced, cutlery is reassuringly heavy, and the menu has a strong line in grilled fish for diners who aren't tempted by the battered selection. Indeed, the options of grilled sardines or fisherman's pie could be a slightly better bet than the fish and chips themselves. We found the batter oily and the chips anaemic, while the sardines were superb and the pie tasty and filling. There's also a takeaway area for those on the move.
