This casual café offers traditional Sri Lankan dishes like string hoppers and kothu roti alongside garden-variety rice-based curries. It's more of a takeaway with strip-lit tables than a restaurant per se (the Tamil satellite TV blaring in the background is authentic, if not atmospheric), and although we've had excellent meals here in the past, we found the food variable on our last visit. Chicken masala dosa, large enough to have fed a small army, was overly spiced and lacking in clarity. Kothu roti, strips of thin roti fried with mutton or vegetables to make a spicy biriani-like dish, is usually a safe bet, as are a range of snacks including Sri Lankan mutton rolls. Note that alcohol is completely off the menu.
