Low-ceilinged and candle-lit, this basement club serves as a relaxed hang-out for south-west London's cool, finger-snapping set. Run by musician Steve Rubie, it's known for attracting a knowledgeable crowd. There's music every night; check the website for line-ups. Diners can choose from a regularly changing menu, but there's steak, pasta and fish are always available. Licensing regulations mean that non-members can only drink alcohol with meals, and at the weekend are only admitted if dining. The 606 is now also open for Sunday lunch, and there are bands playing on some Sundays (check before you go).
