This converted warehouse tries to bring something of an 1930s speakeasy astmosphere to Brick Lane. The place is a modern take on traditional cabaret: it's whitewashed, with wooden floors, plus red velvet curtains. Two mezzanine levels rise above a small stage on the ground floor, where you can catch performances from tassel-twirling burlesque dancers, cabaret acts, magicians and DJs. There's a £5-£10 cover charge for dinner during shows, which goes to the performers. Food is modern European, featuring dishes such as rump of lamb, fish or ricotta and basil ravioli. The space is also available for hire for exclusive use, or floor by floor.

Booking advisable, Available for hire, Disabled ( toilet ), Entertainment ( live acts, DJs 9pm daily )Dreadful location for an office Christmas party as they just can't seem to cope with large numbers. We were meant to eat at 7.30pm but the first course didn't arrive 'til around 9pm, and we were still waiting for pudding (which wasn't worth the wait) at 10.50pm. In fairness, the starter was nice, but avoid the Christmas turkey at all costs. It is served on a bizarre bed of bombay mix with a tiny dish of undercooked veg to share between 2 people.
Some of the entertainment was OK, but the 'comedy' was quite embarrasing to watch. Perhaps I'd have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so hungry...
To top it all off, as I was preparing to leave one of the waiters (who was carrying some kind of cream pudding to another poor table of people who'd waited even longer than us to be served) knocked into me and dropped an entire pudding over the back of my trousers, which I'll now have to dry clean. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
I recently booked a table for my Mum and Dad as a little "Thank You" present (just for being lovely people)
Anyway, I just wanted to say a huge "Well Done!" as they had a wonderful time and were delighted with the food, the cabaret and especially the brilliant and friendly service they received from everyone there. They had a real laugh and could not sing your praises highly enough.
Before going they had a certain amount of trepidation and although I had been to your place once in the past and tried to re-assure them it'd be fine, I knew they were a little uncertain so I was really happy when they called the next morning to say they'd had a superb time.
So there you go, congratulations all 'round and a special mention for Trixie who took the initial booking and was a delight to deal with.
Brick Lane has it all, really. I just wish I didn't live so far away. The unusual shape of this venue lends itself to amazing performance, especially those that involve someone dangling and dancing in mid-air. I also like that you can start and end your whole evening here - cocktail, dinner, show, boogie, then home Jeeves.
What an embarrassing evening for all involved! The guy entertaining was supposed to be doing a Prince tribute act, but it became increasingly like we were on candid camera! The show was awful and the "burlesque" involved some weird chick dressed as a skyscraper doing jazz hands with a funny look on her face while walking up and down the stage. The half price deal (£30) for 5 courses was a joke. Pea and ham soup was more like brown gravy served in a tea cup and the amuse bouche was a spoonful of cheap strawberry sorbet! This was supposed to be a great birthday evening for 10 people, but as the evening went on, it just became a complete farce and we couldn't help but laugh at the fact that these people could really call this entertainment. They are just jumping on the brick lane/burlesque band wagon and nit holding on very tightly. Avoid at any cost. Go to Circus or the one at fenchurch street. Me and my mates could put on a better show after a few beers and an hour in a fancy dress shop.
Great atmosphere, the staff was super friendly, had some great food and the entertainment blew us away. What an amassing burlesque show! Best night at out!!!
great venue great atmosphere friendly staff amazing food......and top notch entertainment.......fantastic music and all round great place to go for a night out. i will be making a visit back to the brickhouse again very soon.........thanks for making my night a very special evening.
I strongly disagree without the below comment. I thought that The Brickhouse was really good value for money considering what you are getting - four course meal and show for only £30. We went to watch The Mating Ritual last week and the venue / atmosphere was top notch particularly the food. I was organising a works do and all of my team said it was the best one they had attended. Well done Brickhouse you have made my job very easy indeed!

The atmosphere, tasty food and venue is really unique for Brick Lane - I organised a works do and my team said it was the best one they had ever attended. Well done Brickhouse you made my job very easy indeed!

A complete con, interior is cheaply made up, reminding me of school prom, entertainers are quite embarassing to watch , food is pretty unedible, and at the end of the night my bill came to over 60 quid.. I feel completly ripped off.. Avoid! Should have known from the reception: a woman siting in a dingy little cloakroom.
Great night out! A really unique experience that I would fully recommend to everybody. Great food and cocktails, really spectacular cabaret - in particular circus trapeze that makes the most of its three floors - including a chic bar at the top with beds! Really friendly staff and reliable service. I will be going back no doubt.
