Fakhreldine benefits from two knockout features - its design aesthetics, and a stunning view over Green Park. Huge picture windows make the most of the verdant vista, which is in stark contrast to the interior design: a mirrored, angular, first-floor space exuding sleek style. That's not to say it's uncomfortable; in fact, the brassy, glossy bar and the lounge area with velvety sofa are fine places to sip a cocktail or eminently quaffable Lebanese wine. Under new management since the beginning of 2009, the elegant restaurant offers such dishes as five-spice lamb, fragrant with cinnamon and cumin and falling off the bone (which is filled with the treat of meaty marrow). Fattoush included limp lettuce, but grilled halloumi served with thyme leaves was a deeply satisfying meze, as was mujadara - lentils mashed with rice. Prices are in accordance with the Mayfair neighbourhood. Service is professional, if a little slow at times. Alluring arrangements of ruby-hued roses and candle-filled lanterns on marble steps lead down to Fakhreldine's new addition - the street-level 1001 Nights. This smaller space is geared towards casual dining, featuring the spectacle of meze and shawarma being prepared in an open kitchen.

Babies and children welcome ( high chairs ), Booking advisable, Takeaway service; delivery service ( within 4-mile radius )Having read the previous comments I think we must have been at a different restaurant, the service was superb and the food delicious we took our time enjoying the mezze starter and we were not rushed to finish before the main was served I would agree with one previous comment in that the Lebanese wine recommended by the waiter to our requirement was delicious. We had a delightful experience and would definitely return.
DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! HORRENDOUS SERVICE!
Tried calling to make a reservation, no one picks up the phone, Was only round the corner so thought I would pop in and see if i could get a table, the lady says yes and is about to put me and my friend at a lovely little table by the window. Before we sit down I mention that i will be using my taste card, she says that i am unable to use it as I have to call first. I tell her that I attempted to call several times but no one answered, she repeats herself and says that in order for me to use my taste card i need to book in advance and that other people who use the card previously call first and they are able to use it. I ask her if it is my fault or her fault that when i called it was unanswered, she again repeats herself as if i'm speaking another language and she doesn't understand! I ask to speak to her manager and she goes and calls him, i over hear the conversation and she is saying to her manager that 'We haven't booked but fails to tell him that we tried' she turns her back to us and begin whispering down the phone. she finally comes off the phone and says her manager is too busy to come and see us and it is up to her to allow us to eat with the taste card but she will be unable to but us at the original table she can only put us on the lounge section as the tables are reserved for those who booked ( even though when we first came in she was happily going to put us at the lovely table near the window) we agree but are very annoyed, we are now sitting on a sofa and the tables are very low. We begin to look through the limited menu and we notice that she is pointing and telling other staff about us, who then begin to stare and whisper about us.
We watch other people come in who clearly haven't booked and they are seated on the nice tables. this was the last straw, we weren't even asked for drinks until a goof 15mins later, We look on the taste appt for another restaurant, get up and leave. no one even ask us why! horrible pace, stupid waitress, ignorant and rude. Never again.
It is a rip off. Please read small print on the top price is per person. We ended up paying £95 we could get same food in other restaurant for £30 max. Glass of Coke for £4.
My boyfriend and I ate an extremely mediocre meal at Fakhreldine last night. The first of our disappointments was the Falafel starter - it was rock solid on the outside, extremely dry on the inside and severely lacking any kind of flavour. I have never tasted anything so undeserving of its hefty price-tag. After a prolonged wait of 25 minutes, our main courses arrived, with no apology for the long wait or warning of this beforehand.
The Musakaa arrived as a pile of slop on a plate juxtaposed with a small mountain of rice. The slop contained just three small pieces of meat covered in fat. Highly unappetising and an extremely heavy meal.
The Shish Taouk (grilled marinated chicken cubes) was also poor. Although the chicken was tender with a welcoming gentle flavour, I am surprised the dish was listed under the Mains. A large plate lacking coverage, with three sorry looking skewers and not a lot else was just not worth £19.50 - I am disgusted that they would charge so much for this hugely bare, dissatisfying dish!
Also - £4.50 for the Rose Lemonade which may as well be re-named as Glass of Pink Crushed Ice.
The restaurant itself looks lavish on the inside, and if you have a window seat you get a great view a busy London street down below. However, the location and views really aren't enough when the food is just so dire.
Unfortunately the service was absolutely embarrassing. For what is supposed to be a good quality restaurant it was laughable. First we were squeezed into a table practically sitting on someone else's lap where we had to push the tables together so you could squeeze in, then the main courses came out before we had even started the starters (we sent them back), when the main courses came out again they put them on our table around our dirty starter plates! I ordered the same glass of wine 3 times before it arrived. The starters were really tasty, cocktails good but main course was dry and without flavour (possibly because it had been kept warm for 30 mins). All in all a disaster and I wouldn't recommend it - you can spend your money on much nicer places for service, ambience and food. We did complain and the manager (who wasn't actually the restaurant manager as there was none on shift) did discount our food a bit etc.
The worst customer service experience I have experienced. I have order twice in a row from this place and both time they took 1h40 min to 2h to deliver and when asked about the reasons this happened when the delivery time is 45 min according to their policy I was told : you are unlucky we had another 8 orders placed straight after you called??!!. When I asked to cancel no appropriate apology or customer care was offered in return. Really disappointing. Also the food is very oily.
Went to Fakhreldine in Mayfair London last night with an old friend. Had a table by the window overlooking Green Park, which was lovely. Service was very attentive at first – drinks order taken and delivered in no time (Lebanese wine is very good). First course (Mezze) arrived quickly too; Baba ganoush was good, the sea bass was grim, the rest fair and without garnish.
The main courses arrived before I had finished the starter. Musakaa had a ring of greasy oil around it and tasted plain and heavy. The Loubieh wasn’t much better, just a little less grease. It was at this point that the service stopped as promptly as it had started. We were left with the half eaten remains of your grease fest for half an hour. Only frantic waving would eventually yield some attention.
Good value? We booked the 50% deal and it came to £100 for the two of us. (incl a cocktail and a bottle of wine worth about £50). If I had paid the full amount I would still be quietly sobbing in a corner somewhere.
terrible service and mediocre food. we placed a delivery order through just-eat and it arrived over an hour late, and stone cold. no apologies or explanation or any gesture to make it up to the customer.
better food is available a lot cheaper elsewhere. we won't be returning.
Great place to go, the view over Green Park is absolutely splendid! Although it was more food than we could handle but the quality was excellent and also a good value for money considering the area – Mayfair. Would go back in a heartbeat.
