An oasis of Middle Eastern delights among the Piccadilly Circus steakhouses, this branch of the small, Paris-based Noura chain provides consistently top-notch Lebanese food and gracious service. The restaurant has two aspects. Lunch (shame the set menus isn't cheaper) takes place on the white-walled, high-ceilinged side. In the evening, the action shifts to an area of gauzy old-gold curtains and cushions under the blood-red glass droplets of a massive chandelier.
The lengthy menu lists masses of meze, grills galore and several oven-baked dishes, plus diverse desserts. Silky smooth as a eunuch's chin, Noura's houmous is peerless. Moutabal (chargrilled aubergine purée) comes peppered with pomegranate seeds to offset its richness. It benefited from a very free hand with lemon juice, which was also the dominant flavour in the fattoush salad and tangy chicken livers. Of other hot meze, crisp falafels were better than doughy kibbeh and fatayer. Extra pitta, warm and puffy, arrived unbidden. Pastries, especially a semolina flour and date morsel accompanying fortifying coffee, are exquisite.
Yet although the food is beautifully presented, the serving bowls are plastic, not earthenware, and one white dish was chipped. The banquette looked worse for wear too. We hope these aren't signs that Noura is coasting.

Facilities
Babies and children welcome ( high chairs ), Available for hire, Disabled ( toilet )I celebrated my 21th anniversary. The staff is professional, attentive. The atmosphere was very good (Music etc..). The food is truly Lebanese, the best I ever had in London so far. All my friends and I enjoyed our night. I would highly recommend it.
We came from Germany to celebrate my 70th birthday on a Friday night here with friends. Very friendly and attentive staff (birthday cake!), very good food (we have been to the Near Orient quite often, and the food here was as authentic as could be). The live music again was very authentic with a very good singer. And the belly dancer - just superb! We enjoyed very much the other guests - obviously mostly of Lebanese origin, especially a very distinguished doctor, who sang along with the female singer like a professional! We'll come again!
We had a lovely meal here, we reserved via Time Out and when we arrived we were shown to a romantic table with a more authentic look than most of the restaurant. The food was very delicious and the skewered meats in particular were very tender and tasty. The staff were very polite and attentive...but not too much. Recomended
