Food arrives fast and hot here, which helps explain the multicultural crowd of family shoppers and local media workers frequenting this homely café. What the cooking lacks in quality and appearance is made up for in generosity. We had to adopt the authentic stooped position to consume a heaping plate of gomoku udon - noodles (sadly overcooked) with pork, prawns, fish balls, veg and thick bland sauce. Better were the crisp, bubbly vegetable tempura. There's a rudimentary list of canned drinks and hot saké to accompany meals.

i should have read the review before heading to Ramen Seto. This rest near Carnaby st was ok as i remember since i have had a meal there years ago. when we went there for lunch last week, we sat upstair of the rest and sat down ok, after 10 mins we ordered, i started to realize the other 3 tables who got there earlier were still waiting for there food to arrive. I was not in a hurry so i thought i didnt mind waiting, but after 25 mins of waiting, our order of starter Gyoza still no where to be seen and the other table were complaining about a long wait for their food, we had no choice to leave the rest after 30 mins wait. i watch the apologetic waiter busy apologizing to the customers rahter than delivery food. i thought if i would never know if there Ramen is good or not as i would never go back there again. thanks

I am very glad at the poor review. The decor and furniture and service are all unremarkable. However, this place has the best Ramen I've eaten in London and its sometimes quite tricky to get a table. Hopefully this will make it easier.

I have been meaning to try this place for a while and finally made it today for lunch. The service could use improvement; the girl serving me didn't do a good job of answering my question when I wanted to know what the fried port set menu was. I had the squid tempura and pork katsu curry. They brought the main course out when I was still eating the starter. But the main course was so hot that it was still quite hot when I started to eat it. The batter was overcooked and oily but the pork inside was tender It was ok; the serving staff were not Japanese but I don't know if the cooks are.
