The gelato packs a punch at this always busy Covent Garden parlour (there's also a handy new branch in Soho's Brewer Street). Entirely free of artificial flavourings and preservatives, the scoops are not short on taste.
Malaga is spiked with a lot more than a dash of Sicilian marsala wine, and the intensely dark, bittersweet chocolate sorbet (extra fondente) could almost suck the liquid from your mouth - opt for the cioccolato fondente ice-cream made with a changing array of grand-cru single-origin varieties if you're not looking for a such a chocolate hit.
A few alternative flavours (green tea, cinnamon) are outnumbered by familiar Italian options, from stracciatella to a beautiful pistachio, as well as some vibrant-looking fruit sorbets.
Space is tight for such a popular shop, and after dinner there's a clamour for the few seats at the back, with punters spilling into the street to enjoy their mountain-high ice-cream cones.

Best ice cream shop in London! Their pistachio ice-cream is incredible! Hazelnut and bacio flavours are also excellent.
If only they were friendly... Seems they don't give a shit about their customers.
Best ice cream in London. Real pistacchio, with no dodgy green food colouring added. 10 minutes of happiness.
