Barbados, Jamaica, Antigua… Brentford. No, it doesn't trip off the tongue, but you could do worse than dining at this cool-looking yet friendly little spot. The restaurant first appears like a glass cuboid. Inside, however, with a soundtrack of cool funk and gentle dub, and a warm, busy bar, the atmosphere soon turns West Indian. Prices are substantial. Lobster costs £45, the banana leaf mahi mahi fillets are £16.50 and even curried goat is £14.95. In recompense, the chef manages his produce and sauces with finesse, and flavours such as tamarind, capsicum and sesame oil are clearly discernible. Side dishes, called 'provisions', are especially enticing: thyme potatoes, sauté callaloo, sweet potatoes with yam and coco. Unusually, great pride is taken in presentation; dishes come artfully designed, baking hot and are paced to allow customers to chat, digest and enjoy. Portions are big too. Desserts seem a bit of an afterthought, but the sweet potato pudding with rum and raisin ice-cream is a treat for sharing. Good Jamaican coffee rounds things off magnificently.

Thank you to all at Glistening Waters for a wonderful evening, everyone enjoyed themselves especially Mum. We look forward to our next evening out.
The whole family went for afternoon dinner, 5 Adults (1 wheelchair) and 2 children. We all only had good things to say about the food and service. We were made to feel very comfortable. We can be quite a fussy family and very rarely do I leave ratings so when I make a recommendation on the internet it can be trusted. Thanks again to everyone at Glistening Waters and hope to be back soon.
