Haché is derived from the French for 'to chop' but the only Gallic twist on the great American burger here is attention to detail. Rather than the now-ubiquitous underpinning with skewers, Haché's crisp toasted ciabattas are left ajar for us to admire the ingredients.

Our spanish burger was topped with a slice of grilled pepper and a generous disc of goat's cheese. Squashed down, it made for a mammoth mouthful and held together well. It was also markedly more meaty than everything else we sampled for this guide. The thick-cut chips will divide opinion, though. Yes, they're crisp but they're also too reminiscent of 3am-kebab-shop hollow.

Haché is, we're told, constantly tweaking its burgers. So perhaps the chefs could next turn their attention to their vegetarian patrons. Despite proud claims of fresh vegetables, chickpeas, cumin and coriander, the 'au naturel veggie burger' still has more than a hint of shop-bought frozen veggie burgers. Given the quality of everything else here, that's frustrating.

Hi William
Sometimes people get a chance to prove themselves, but they don't work out. The guy in the suit didn't unfortunately. However, thanks for the positive comments about Hache. Hope you'll be back.

I'm fairly regular here, and they always do a mean burger, but had absoulutely dreadful service last night by one of the most unpleasant waiters i've ever come across. This prat in a suit took our order while failing to smile once, and was so haughty and arrogant that we complained to one of the girls, and she said that he wasn't a regular and was training, but then when we tried to get his attention later he pointedly ignored us. Totally infuriating. And the food took half the night to arrive. Very disappointing from one of our favoured locals. W.

Hi Vanesa
We'd love to exactly when you came to see us and if it was Camden or Chelsea. It's great to pass on reviews like this to the staff

Amazing!!! ....Everything was just fantastic, starting for the decoration, the small flower lights on the mirrors, the bright flowers on the tables, we were there a bit late on a busy weekend eve and were greeted by a huge grin on the face of our lovely hostess who informed us it would take about 10 min to get a table, more than starving we stayed and we enjoyed the experience. We were offered drinks while we waited and then directed to our table, our server recommended us to try the specials since they change them over the weeks, we accompanied them with some hallumi cheese, frittes and onion rings (the best I've ever tried), we were to burst after our diner but our sweet tooth made us decide for the Haché Brownie -what a brilliant idea, we didn't stayed for coffee because we were going out but I'd be more than happy to go back and stay for longer.
Our server looked after us all the time and seemed to be having a good time while chatting to all the tables, the whole atmosphere was very nice, cosy and lively. I think we've found our favourite Burger place. Will definitively be going back
