Popular with all ages, especially young mums, this branch of Hummingbird Bakery celebrates Stateside sweetness with some classic all-American flavours. There's a tiny café area attached to the shop, along with a couple of coveted outdoor tables.
The eye candy is provided by a veritable parade of indulgence - sparkly frosted cupcakes decorated in rainbow colours, lemon meringue pies, devil's food cake and whoopee pies. We loved our darkly seductive chocolate cupcake and whipped icing, but found the red velvet cake disappointingly dry. Brownies come in various guises; our favourite is the deliciously soggy walnut version, topped with rich chocolate and cream cheese frosting.
Supplies can run low by the evening; for the best choice, visit earlier in the day. Service, although friendly, is sometimes slow and chaotic during busy times.

Tables outdoors ( 4, pavement ), Babies and children admitted, Takeaway serviceAn amazing gem of a bakery. The only downfall is probably the price, but so far, there is simply no other option as you'll never find a bakery quite as good as this one.
