Inside has made it through the past near-dozen years by maintaining high standards, and remains a linchpin of the Greenwich dining scene. The decor is plain and modern, inside and out, sticking to a chic palette of dark brown and cream. Front-of-house operations run like clockwork, and service is so unintrusive as to be considered characterless by some - the atmosphere comes from the warm lighting and the convivial hum of fellow diners.
All the passion is evident in a succinct menu of imaginative dishes dreamt up by chef-patron Guy Awford - Modern European in the main, but with influences from the Middle East and Asia. Almond, honey and rosewater cake was crumbly and delicate, accompanied by a perfect, subtle pistachio ice-cream.
The more conventional dishes we tried were just as accomplished; juicy, roast corn-fed chicken breast, perched on top of kernels of pop-in-the-mouth creamed corn, was bettered only by meltingly soft confit duck leg. A comparatively dull cheeseboard (chèvre, stilton, cheddar) felt overpriced at £6.95, but dining here is generally excellent value - the set menus are a steal.

Food was good, but the tallest waitress was annoying murmuring with f words in my complaints.
I had some decent chicken here yesterday I asked the waitress where it was from she was bemused I was asking such a question she asked the chef and told me it was french.
The restaurant was very quiet on this saturday afternoon but the waitress didnt attempt to fill up my water glass.
The food overall was good but a bit pedestrian and I could have eaten at a one star in the west end for this price,
Greenwich is on the up big time unfortunately its restaurants dont reflect this.
Outstanding. A quiet part of Greenwich, albeit a short distance from the rail station, but a real beauty of a restaurant. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent value and we will certainly return.
