If there's a neighbourhood with a friendlier local café serving such high-quality food, we're moving there. Di Brindley, who earned her cheffing stripes at Michelin-starred London restaurants, only took over this tiny café a year ago, but has already turned it into a local foodie hub.

The lunch menu changes according to available produce and whatever's inspiring Di that day, but you can rely on there being a cooked breakfast made with top ingredients, healthy granolas with fresh berries, own-made seasonal soup, doorstop-sized BLTs, sensational brownies, and the best coffee in the area.

Jack's also occasionally hosts intimate Saturday night dinners, monthly Sunday roasts, pudding contests and Saturday brunch. The flipside to having a small team with big ideas is unpredictability - phone ahead if you're coming far.

Oh no! Our secret is out. I love this place. Definitely the best coffee in East Dulwich. Awesome food, always fresh and plentiful servings. The "peggy's" fry up will last you through the winter, and the (wed-Thurs) stew and dumpling nights are fab! :)'mm

Jacks tea and coffee house is a gem of a local eaterie - the term cafe simply doesn't do it justice. Tasty fresh food served in a friendly atmosphere with a variety of offerings to suit all and affable staff aiming to please all comers. A real treat to have nearby.

TIME OUT!!!!!!!!!!! Come and review us. We are open 8.30 to 5 Mon to Friday except Wednesdays which is half day. We also open 2 Saturday nights a month and one Sunday a month for a Roast Dinner.
