Paradise makes decorative use of its name, taken from GK Chesterton's poem 'The Rolling English Road', by filling its high-ceilinged interior with religious icons, angels, cherubs and flowery chandeliers, even extending the effect to two huge stone vases of flowers on the bar counter.
When you reach it, you'll find prices to be more than reasonable for the quality of mixing (very good) and service (ditto). Beers include Guinness, plus standard lagers at standard prices; there are also plenty of wines.
With its banquet-sized dining hall, courtyard garden and roof terrace, Paradise does a roaring trade in private dining, and bar snacks here are a notch above the norm: Poole harbour rock oysters and shallot dressing, for instance.
Comedy nights, movie screenings and DJs provide entertainment.

Service was efficient and friendly. Food was great. And it was awesome being able to have dinner and then head off to the dance floor after. An evening well spent!
I went with 3 friends for dinner at Paradise for the first time. The restaurant was beautiful, and we were welcomed by friendly staff and warm bread. The food was quite nice; I had an artichoke salad to start which was boring, and then seabass for main. I wouldn't say it was anything extraordinary, but with the offer it was okay - the portions were very small. I don't think I will return without the 50% off as it is too pricey for what you get. On the positive side, the wine list is excellent, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff are very knowledgeable and ready to help.
Me and my friends enjoyed a fabulous meal on saturday then went upstairs and enjoyed the tunes!! will be back!
