On our latest visit to this rodizio grill restaurant, the salad bar seemed small, and featured roasted courgette and peppers, good pão de queijo (cheese bread), standard farofa (roasted manioc flour), and lacklustre feijão (black bean stew). But we wanted meat, so, unperturbed, we waited for the procession of skewer-wielding waiters to come over from the open grill. Disappointment ensued: a herb-filled pork sausage was tough on the outside and dry within; chicken wrapped in bacon was passable but greasy; and chicken legs could have done with longer on the grill. The sirloin steak lacked any flavour other than its garlic marinade, and the usual rodizio pièce de résistance, picanha (rump steak), was tough and veiny. Grilled pineapple was great, but not what you would expect to pay almost £20 for. Apart from the lamb, which was flavoursome and perfectly pink, and a good bottle of Chilean house red, Comida's star attraction was a good-fun, chatty waitress who epitomised Brazilian warmth. If it's done right, we're fans of the rodizio's eat-all-you-like concept, but we're not sure it works so well in London at these fairly budget prices (£16.90 at lunch, £21.50 in the evening).
Sorry, booking is not available at the moment.

Staff treat my wife and I like family, they are always considerate in terms of offering us what we like and go out of their way to please us. The meat is cooked to our liking; the buffet is always fresh and full.
I am a meat lover that has been through most of London’s churrascarias and steak houses. I’ve been eating at Comida at least twice a month for the past couple of years… What more can I say?
I've just returned from lunch with a colleague at Comida, and am baffled by the negative reviews the restaurant has attracted. This was my first visit, and the waitress took her time to explain how things worked and what I could expect. We must have had at least nine separate courses from the chef with the meat skewers, each of which was absolutely delicious. After our meal, we spent some time chatting to the waitress about how things had been for the restaurant since the New Year and then left very happy and full. I would have no reservations recommending Comida and will certainly be back soon.
We actually lfet before being served as they were just rude!! We went fro late lunch. The place was not busy. There were 3 other tables occupied and they were all eating. We were sat down given menu's with no explanation to how it works and then she walked off. The waitress stood around for ten minutes or more while we tried to get her attention. In the end we decided we would rather pay money to people who actually wanted it. She didn't even try to take a drinks order.
Excellent food. Lovely service. Meat was juicy and perfectly pink. Will definately be going back
My wife and I went to this place on a Sunday evening at 6.45 pm. We wanted to have a drink after a long walk. We were seated at the table outside. Few minutes later, the owner came to us and to our shock, she told us that she will not serve us any drinks at dinner time and asked us to leave. She was completely non apologetic. She was the rudest restaurant owners I have ever met. I would avoid this place like the plague.
Living part of each year in Brazil, I am used to the Brazilian churrascaria experience. Comida comes closest to being a truly Brazilian experience. The food is excellent, the meat cooked to perfection and delivered frequently to your table. The chef-cum-Maitre d', Rafael, with a wry wit and Brazilian sense of humour makes the whole experience excellent. With reference to the previous comment - perhaps better a management that manages than the usual frightened British style, failing to do anything but take your money (also an Sp for incorrect singular verb when plural is demanded).. Excellent value for money and a very good overall experience - I shall definitely visit again.
The Brazilian staff was friendly but the owner's behaviour was deplorable. One of the waiters was having a cigarette (very likely it was his break) and she told him off hands on her waist. As previous reviewer wrote, my husband and I also had the feeling that the meat was too long spaced out. Quite different from a real Brazilian 'churrascaria' experience. Overall, not a great value for money. For these reasons but mainly for the first one, I will never ever come back unless they change management.
