A night out at Pasha is a sumptuous experience. Rich fabrics, flickering candles, beaded lamps, carved doorways and North African music combine to evoke an exotic atmosphere. From the moment you enter, service is quick and attentive, with much effort placed on making you feel welcome. Food lives up to the surroundings, and whether you choose the 'feast' set menu option or pick your own array of dishes, feasting is certainly encouraged.

Starters consist of meze-style small plates, among them lamb, ras el hanout (a commonly used spice blend) and prunes enveloped in crisp ouarka pastry; spiced aubergine dip; and prawns wrapped in kataifyi pastry. As a main, s'csou darna deserves special mention: tender morsels of braised lamb, chicken and merguez sausage come with a host of delicious extras, each plated on its own dish (steamed couscous, vegetable broth, plump golden sultanas, spiced chickpeas and a potent harissa).

The wine list includes Moroccan and Lebanese entries, and the cocktail menu contains some cheekily adapted favourites such as Bloody Harissa and a Date Old Fashioned. Pasha isn't cheap, but the food and service make it worth the price.

You need to update your review.the food was mediocre and then we were charged a cover charge (there was no music or anything so I don't know why we were charged that),we were charged for 3 glasses of wine when we had 2,and we were charged for a bottle of water when in fact they brought us tap water. I had them correct the bill. I wonder how often they make those mistakes. I will never go back there and it ruined our evening.

I took my friend there last night hoping to have a lovely experience as I had been a few times several years ago. It used to be very atmospheric and exotic with great food. This time we were shown to a table under the speaker which was soooo loud we had to ask to be moved as we'd have ended up miming to each other. At the next table we could hear each other but the music was still so loud it spoiled the whole experience. We had the feast for 2 at £35, which was very disappointing. The 5 starters were small and fairly unexotic. I had the lamb which was Ok, a little tough, and definately not worth the money. Then the music became even louder and the belly dancers came out. We watched for a while and then it just went on and on and on and on and on until the point where we got bored of not being able to talk to each other. A few women started to join in the dancing on their chairs and with the belly dancers that it ended up feeling like hen party central. So we got the bill (£110) for the feast and wine and left to find something more sophisticated.

A Friday night out with six friends should be one of fun and great food. The concept sounded tantalisin, but in reality turned out to be an expensive disappointment.  Firstly the waiter got the drink order wrong, which didn't bode well. Secondly we were given a selection of bread and tomato soup in an espresso cup but was not informed that we would have to pay a cover charge of £2.50 for these item.  The starters were reasonable, but three of us ordered chicken tagine. The chicken tagine lacked favour and didn't have the traditional tagine spices associated with the dish.  The chicken was not browned and the potatoes were advertised as being saffroned but were in fact just boiled.  We complained to the manager, to which he informed us that the lack of spice was because the pasha catered for the Chelsea tastes buds.  He refused to accept our complaint and stated that he did not care to listen to our comments.

I would agree with the majority of the criticisms levied here. When booking, our party was advised that only the set menu was available. I opted for the Pasha Feast, which was barely the sum of its budget components. An overpriced and almost insulting experience. Great decor however; so if you're looking for restaurant but don't intend to eat, this could be the place for you.

Starters were OK main dishes were tasteless and poorly cooked and also appeared to have the left over starters reappear on the plate. The belly dancing music was so loud I could not talk to the person next to me ( a good job as it was my girlfriend ). The wine list was poor and over priced. We paid around £900 for a rather poor meal and then were charged £10 for a slice of cake with a candle in after just paying for the main meal. Don’t bother going here but go to a quality restaurant as there are plenty in London without gimmicks but serve good Moroccan food.

This place uses electric hookahs, so if you are looking for proper shisha, avoid this place. Expensive too - 16 quid for shisha and 2 for service charge.

Was very dissapointed with this place. Apart from a very beautiful interior I would not recommend anyone to come here. The set menu was really inconvenient for me and wife as we did not want the same. The food was not at all as we expected, very bland and not at all morrocan. The bill was also very high considering we did not drink any alcohol, but that was probably due to the set menu which is a very good money making scheme! I felt we were paying more for the surrounding. Have been to morroco and this food was not that. Would suggest people give kenza a try, they are much better.

I think the review needs updating, as I was quite disappointed with the re-heated starters and a tangine that arrived ten minutes after we ordered, with dry chicken that again was probably cooked beforehand and added to the sauce. It felt they were going through the motions and the only good thing was the merguez, which had probably been brought in.
