Sacred now has six locations, but the original is still thriving in its restaurant-crowded enclave just off Carnaby Street. Nothing much changes here, though we did encounter something we'd never seen before: espresso that fell short of perfection. The brew lacked body, and the crema - the tan/brown foam that is an essential component of espresso - was decidedly anaemic. This could have been because the cup had taken too long to reach us; the brew was not properly hot.
Apart from that, no problems. Earl Grey tea was good, and the baked goods are terrific: five stars for the chocolate and raspberry brownie. Just another note for the owners: by 5pm, some of the sandwiches in the chill cabinet start looking as if they need embalming - wrapping them in plastic would solve the problem.
