Mai'da has cream walls, mood lighting, wood furniture, and a possibly over-ambitious menu that ropes together North Indian, Parsi, Pakistani and Indo-Chinese influences. Starters of lamb chops and kachay aam ka murgh tikka (tangy chicken tikka wrapped around a mango and coriander filling), were worthy of some of London's best Indian restaurants, but the main courses were uneven: nimbu aur hare dhaniye ka murgh (chicken curry supposedly flavoured with lemon and coriander) tasted like weak soup, and seafood tawa biriani was bland. Still, our meal was redeemed by khade masala ka gosht (lamb flavoured with crushed black peppercorns, cumin, cardamom, cloves and bay leaf), and the roomali roti. Alcohol isn't allowed, so we suggest you order a sweet lassi.

Facilities
Babies and children admitted, Babies and children welcome ( Children's menus ), Separate rooms for parties ( Seating 8-24 ), Disabled ( Toilet )Despite the good reviews, this food was very poor. Ordering from the "fusion" menum, the "manchow" and a paneer dish both had sauces that tasted very much like they were made with gravey browning. A dry fish dish was better. If you eat here, eat the dfishes and without "sauce".
