Located in the very heart of Archway, this bright, comfortable, daytime-only spot brings some much-needed café class to N19's burgeoning foodie population. At the front is an elegant counter displaying éclairs, croissants and cheesecake; further back, an appealing garden offers potential weekend lolling and sunny workday escapes. Salads and soups of the day (such as spicy tomato) are available to take away, as are coffees. Mint and lemon tisane was full of fresh, verdant leaves and brought by warmly welcoming staff. Breakfasts offer halloumi and lamb sausages as well as the expected eggs; a range of inventive Med-style sandwiches (goat's cheese, fresh pear and strawberry jam, for example), served with a fresh green salad, will satisfy at lunchtime.

Have to completely disagree with Des! I've lived in Archway for over 6 years and was beyond pleased when LaVoute opened. I'm there at least twice a month on weekends for a lazy breakfast, and always have a party of 4 or more. Service is perfect, not at all rushed, quite the opposite but in a refreshing way. Food always perfect, hot and tasty as can be! They're also very accommodating as often I'll have my sister and 4 year old nephew who are both vegetarians. Will continue to enjoy their Club Sandwiches, LaVoute Breakfasts and delicious Filo Pastries!
Attitude of the staff is awful. Went as a party of 5 for breakfast and the missed off one meal. No apology and no rush to correct. No discount and no apology offered at the end either for inconvenience. Will not be going back as it is also slightly overpriced.
