There's a rather corporate feel to Pod: its healthy menu may be nourishing for the body, but its uninspired decor and lamentable easy-listening soundtrack leaves the soul wanting more. Still, if you're looking to pick up a simple, warming lunch then you'll find a healthy selection of soups, curries, stews, salads and sandwiches. For breakfast, choose from porridge served with the likes of goji berries or bananas, scrambled eggs on toast, and sausage or bacon sandwiches. A fridge cabinet holds a plentiful supply of yoghurts and there are fruit and granola combos aplenty, plus a good range of fortifying juices. Coffees and croissants are also passable. Not a destination venue by any means, but a decent alternative to the usual suspects if you happen to be in the area.
