Byron's bovine influence continues to circulate around town, with several new branches having opened in the first part of 2010 already.

One of the newest is this pared-down branch in Islington, opposite the Business Design Centre.

Exposed brick and tiled walls might lend it a half-finished look, but this doesn't detract from the fact that this little chain serves the best burgers in town, for a neat price and no strange fixings, either (but if you so desire, there's avocado and jalapeño peppers as options).

Burgers are served medium unless otherwise requested, the buns are soft and the juicy pickles served on the side. For an extra American-style indulgence, order a coke float. And to counter it, perhaps some juicy courgette fries?

I'm a regular here. Absolutely love it. The Mac cheese is incredible, and I know it's just a side but it's worth emphasising on. The burgers are lovely, and the service is always friendly and attentive. Strongly recommended.

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times and the consistency of food and service is excellent. The 'Byron Burger' packed with onion rings and lashings of hot sauce is burger heaven!

Forget the hype. Byrons looks great but the meat isn't that great!
I am massively into my burgers and if you are too this is not the place to get them. Hache is sooooo much better. Their meat is much juicer and tastier too!
