A relative newcomer to the ever increasing ice-cream offering in London, Polka Gelato's interior is far from extravagant: concrete walls, minimal seating and a chilled counter packed with colourful ice-creams and sorbets.

Always available are chocolate, pistachio, nocciola and an outstanding salt caramel with just a hint of bitterness. Other flavours change from day to day. Chocolate and chilli had just the right amount of heat and the odd fleck of real chilli running through it. Also of note were the fragrant blueberry ice-cream and a vibrant pink raspberry sorbet crammed with fruit, pips and all.

Monmouth Coffee drinks are also sold, and there should be pastries coming soon. Look out for the own-made ice pops in summer.

Quite simply the best ice cream in this part of london. Fantastic and friendly. We have been about a dozen times already - pear, raspberry, lemon and pistachio particular favourites.

I have tried only creamy ice cream; great balance of the sweetness and the fresh ingredients' flavours. They use the real fruites and mint, all natural ingredients to make gelato. Mint was excellent. You must try!!! Next time, maybe in hot day, I will try solvet too. In addition, this shop provides nice matcha ice cream too, which you usually struggle to find in London. (well it was about to be sold out when I visited)

This is really ond of the best ice cream shops in London for sure.
