You may know Giovanni Rana from his fresh pasta range found in the chilled aisles of most UK supermarkets. Now, the Italian chef will open his first UK restaurant next to Regent's Park on December 12. Restaurant Giovanni Rana will serve Italian food, so expect deli items such as charcuteries and breads, Italian mains, pastries - and fresh pasta, of course. Rana already has 26 restaurants in Italy, as well as five more in Switzerland and another one in Madrid, Spain.

Great food, atmosphere and setting. We shared a meat platter to start, which was lovely followed by the duck pasta dish. The portion was very generous and the pasta tasted really fresh. The waiter we had very helpful and the whole restaurant had a warm vibe to it. I'll be back! Lucy, London
