Thai Square at the Wig & Pen

The worst Thai food I've ever eaten. The sauce that accompanied the fishcakes was over sweetened, over salted, overly acidic and inedible. The chicken satay was completely tasteless. Duck with lychee and pineapple in coconut sauce was a confused mash of sickly flavours with pieces of greasy fatty duck floating about. The Jungle Curry tasted about as Thai as minestroni soup and my plate was so dirty that I had to send it back and ask for another one.

At no point did the staff ask how the food was, they probably know already.

I wish I hadn't used the toilets as they were so filthy they made me feelI physically ill. I'm very surprised that this restaurant shows 5 'Stars On The Doors' for hygiene and I will be contacting the local authorities at the earliest opportunity.

I gave this only a one star rating because there wasn't an option to leave no stars at all. The staff were friendly though but the food is very far from the delicate Thai flavours you might expect from any restaurant have the word 'Thai' in its name. If you like Thai food you will be very disappointed with this restaurant.
