You'll find none of the pretensions Clapham is known for here. The tightly packed rows of wooden canteen tables offer a spot of elbow tennis with the young and noisy clientele - but it's Thai cuisine, not comfort, that punters flock to Pepper Tree for. To start, we enjoyed plump, nutty vegetable parcels packed with beancurd, mushroom, water chestnut and sweetcorn, while a main of finely chopped chilli beef with green peas was grand of portion and generously spiked with Thai basil. Save room for dessert: mango sorbet is a fine palate-cooler, and yellow beancake is a sweet and tasty variation on traditional rice pudding, complemented perfectly by firm slices of fresh mango. Service isn't as saccharine - don't expect an abundance of smiles.

Worst restaurant in London!!!!
Food is just 2 stars on a good day but by far the worst part of the restaurant is the
very angry and confrontational bartender, so very frustrated after 16 years of doing the same job in the same place.
No manager to be found anywhere, staff actually told me they don't care about customers.
Very very nice.

Bit of a small scale Wagamama's experience. Good food, reasonably priced and quick service. If you are a bit pushed for time on your way out somewhere but what to eat out, eat here.
