Given TPT's fast service and massive menu, with portions to match, you can forgive its slightly cramped seating (there's also an upstairs dining area) and occasional culinary misses. This is one of the friendlier, more relaxed Chinatown joints. Avoid the sloppy baked pork chop rice, and the posh pseudo-laksa, and order cold chicken strips with crunchy-tender jellyfish, sizzling stuffed beancurd, or beef ho fun fresh from the wok. The bubble teas and the sweet, silky beancurd dessert (chilled tau foo fah) are sublime, and pots of hot tea (plus refills) cost just 50p a head.
