Refreshingly low-key and still commendably independent in a sea of famous-name chain restaurants exploiting the wharfside location, Cammasan is in fact two separate restaurants. The first-floor dining room serves high-quality traditional Chinese food, while the informal noodle bar downstairs (where we ate) serves huge portions of dishes from all over Asia to customers at communal benchside tables. Chilli beef noodle soup had a fiery heat that complemented rather than drowned the spices, and the beef was sliced across the grain and flash-cooked to keep it tender in the classic mainland Chinese style. Honey-basted ribs had less of a wow factor, but were still competently prepared. You can order grass jelly and other speciality Asian drinks, as well as wine and beer.

Great, friendly service and yummy food. Try the squid appetizer and the crispy seafood noodles.

Me and my family have been going here for well over 5 years. The staff are attentive and always ask after family members etc. the food is very fresh and they serve the most delicious beef. If you fancy something in particular they always try to accommodate off menu ordering. The chillie beef noodle soup is a firm favourite, as is mee gorang and the beef in black bean. Best restaurant in the area.

Great noodle bar on ground floor with a variety of Asian noodles of various types. Upper floor is trendy Chinese restaurant with full Chinese dishes from simple aromatic ducks to lobster served with ginger and spring onion. Yummy, we are great fan of this place as you can eat either in the informal noodle bar or formal restaurant. services is fast, efficient, friendly and food is fresh and original. A must try place. Many local Oriental customers at any given time. Seems like a popular place for Chinese families, students and shoppers to hang out. The best Chinese in Kingston.
