Nestled in the bustling surrounds of the Thames, Borough Market and London Bridge stands the stylish yet laid back haven of The Southwark Rooms. Starting its life as an old local pub in 2003, The Southwark Rooms Soho-style facelift transformed the bar and restaurant into a trendy destination. Regulars love soaking up the friendly vibe, and the internationally-inspired menu is perfect for soaking up the lush cocktails. A parade of light bites such as salt and pepper squid or meze plate satisfies as starters or just a nibble for the peckish, whereas hearty sandwiches and mains make an excellent meal. We love the twice-cooked pork belly with pear salad, as well as the homemade Southwark Rooms burger.

What is 'following'?I would have liked to give this bar zero but the site won't let me. The service was terrible, the cocktails were awful. Badly mixed, no choice and very little alcohol in them. After booking and being told it was 2 for 1 cocktails between 5 and 7, we were told the offer was void 'because it was Christmas'. We tried to order a drink at 10.30pm but were told the bar was closed because obviously the bar staff wanted to go home. Rubbish rubbish rubbish. Don't ever go here. Plus they only know the few cocktails on the menu. That's it.
We were kicked out at 10.30, the cocktails were rubbish, the staff were rude... Don't ever go here! And the 2 for 1 happy hour doesn't actually exist, they can apparently change their minds about it whenever they feel like it
