Often the best meals come from the most unassuming places, so we were delighted to discover Pallavi – an Indian restaurant tucked away above a concrete suburban shopping mall in Twickenham. The first good sign is that this restaurant is filled with Indian families who love the homemade curries, and the second is the superb Keralan menu. From fluffy dosas served with spicy coconut chutney to aromatic fish curries and Indian-style ice cream desserts – this is an authentic eatery where the delicate flavours and hearty servings are the star of the show. Signature dishes include the Mangalore fish curry, the Chilli Chicken and the Uthappam – an Indian 'pizza' made with rice, lentils, tomatoes and onions.

What is 'following'?I was surprised to see that the restaurant has changed hands with Ragam in Central London. It is now called Ragam 2. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The service was really good and I had a good time there. Can't wait to go back.Definitely recommend this place.
Having eaten in Pallavi on Saturday night I thought it was only necessary that I post a review online to express my joy at finding a gem like this in my area. Now a Richmond girl at heart I ventured over to Twickenham as my boyfriend Neil and I fancied some Indian Food but little did we know what surprise we were in for. The restaurant was not very busy when we arrived but the take out trade was constant. We were greeted upon ascending the staircase by a very friendly face welcoming us to the restaurant. We were seated at the window, overlooking the busy street and on a Saturday night there certainly is many a sight to behold! We were gently talked through the menu and given recommendations. I had the mangalore fish curry as a main and Neil had the green meat masala, both dishes were something that we would generally not go for but both are definately now on our regulars list. We ordered too much food as per usual and the waiter was kind enough to box it up so we had it for lunch the next day. Definately in our area this is the most authentic Indian food I've tasted in a long while and a perfect place for a weekend date.
