With a unique setting on Aldwych, Homage at The Waldorf Hilton is designed to be relaxed, elegant and just a little theatrical. Soaring Ionic pillars are topped in gold, striking photographic pieces hang from the ceiling and chandeliers cast a romantic glow over the room. Serving food and drinks from breakfast until late, Homage offers a flexibility which suits Londoners to a tee. Pre-theatre diners might choose a meal in the elegant Grand Salon while afternoon tea connoisseurs will no doubt be impressed by the Homage Private Bar where exquisite cakes and pastries are made on site. The bar meanwhile, open all day, is a meeting place to rival all others, a chic space where cocktails, coffee and wines can be enjoyed by the many different types of people who find themselves drawn to this fantastic meeting place.

For such a prestigious hotel this restaurant was an experience I will never forget, why? The service was terrible, and I mean to the extreme, my partner and I waited 25 minutes for a glass of water so my partner could take a pill, let alone the waiting times for the food I think the whole ordeal took three hours for a main and desert. The food was…. palatable but not mind blowing. I will never again attend the hotel or overpriced restaurant. I think the rating of this restaurant amongst those in the know is reflected by the very minimal numbers I of guests I experienced when attending. Please do not fall prey to the ‘name’ and avoid.
