Set on the South Bank, moments from world-famous London attractions like the IMAX, London Eye and Royal Festival Hall, The Archduke restaurant and wine bar is a local landmark in itself, set in to the old railway arches surrounding Waterloo Station. The first London restaurant to open in this area, The Archduke has gone through several incarnations since 1979 but is still as fresh as ever with sleek, simple furniture set against the old bare brick walls and contemporary glass frontage. Jazz music gently floats through speakers, performed six nights a week live in the bar, as diners indulge in comforting modern European cuisine including excellent steaks (it’s owned by the steakhouse Black and Blue group) and simple roast chicken served with your choice of sides dishes. The view of the London Eye from the terrace is spectacular and worth lingering over.

What is 'following'?went here for my birthday meal with partner over weekend. staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. the food was delicious (pork chop) and my partners food too (especially fishcake starter). the ambience of the restaurant is lovely, nice lightening and jazz band was lovely. all in all, would def recommend for a special evening.
I will never return to this restaurant, nor will I recommend it to anyone. The reason for this is that I was spoken to very rudely by a French waiter. Drips from an air conditioning pipe directly above me were landing upon me during my meal. I politely pointed this out to the waiter (previously mentioned0 who replied in a very brusque tone 'What do you want me to do about it?'. At this reort I and all the other members of the party were lost for words.
